Typical scheme of the plant for the production of pellets:

Pellet production process consists of four sections:
Grinding
Land preparation of raw materials - where waste is uneven on fractions, including lump waste, strips, slabs, crushed to a state of sawdust.
entire process is aimed at reducing the fraction of the feedstock, in order to "ease" of the press granulator.
First, large-sized waste wood chips are ground to a size of a roller or chipping machines. Chips typically fed into the hammer mill and then, depending on the hole diameter becomes final size sieves.
The technological process of the plant involves the production of pellets from roundwood, including (with the possibility of other types of feed - slabs, raw lump waste, raw wood chips, sawdust, shavings, dry feedstock)
Drying
Shredded wood chips are fed into the drying drum. Tackling excessive moisture is the hot air produced heat source. Low drying agent at the inlet to the drying drum 400 º C at the outlet - of about 100 º C. The task of the drying is adjusting the humidity of raw wood with a natural humidity (40-60% RH.) To a moisture content required for granulation (8-14% RH.). Pellet-air humidification system, which allows overdry raw material (moisture content less than 10%) and bring it to the desired moisture content is directly in front of himself granulation.
Granulation
Plot granulation - where the dried sawdust, in special pellet press is converted into pellets 6 mm or 8 mm. Immediately after formation of the pellets is rotating contact between the matrix material and the rollers.
By pressing the pulp, the friction against the walls of the working channel matrix is heating to a temperature above 110 ° C. At this temperature the melt contained in the pulp lignin, which acts as a "glue" or binder which allows to obtain stable pellets.
Cooling
The formed pellets acquire the necessary hardness only in the process of cooling.
Packaging
The pellets are packed in big bags - "big bags" with capacity 620-1000 kg, small PE bags with capacity of 15-25 kg and bulk in a variety of containers and tanks (10-20 m). Filling in large bags used controlled valves at the outlet of the hopper. Filling in small containers used semi-automatic packing line.

Fuel Pellets
